Adventurous Journey: From Oslo to Miami with Grandpa

Explore Miami: From Oslo to the Sunshine of the South
The flight: A long but worth it trip! The trip began with a long flight of about 12 hours from Oslo to Copenhagen and then on to Miami. Although the flight was long and the seats were not upgraded as expected, fortunately there were two seats next to each other, which made the trip a little more comfortable. The food on board was decent, and we made it in the end.
When we were going to leave the airport, we had to stand in a long queue! When we finally got to the point where we had to show our passports and ESTA which is needed to enter the USA, at least for Norwegian citizens. We showed our passports and the document, then we were photographed and had to put in our fingerprints, a bit strange but that's how it is. Finally we got inside, got our luggage and checked into the hotel.
First impressions of Miami: Palm trees, beaches and tall buildings Arriving in Miami was like arriving in a whole new world. The city is reminiscent of the South, but with the unique American atmosphere. The tall buildings with lights and the many palm trees made it clear that we were in the USA.
Day 1: Exploring Miami Beach On the first day we started sightseeing in the area, and Miami Beach was a natural first stop. The beach was amazing, and we enjoyed a delicious hamburger and tried octopus for the first time. Looking at the beach and the beautiful surroundings was a perfect start to our stay.
Day 2: Shopping and cozy streets The second day was spent exploring the streets of Miami, where we could buy various things and taste local food. It was a joy to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere, and we really had a great time.
How much it cost: We booked part of the trip through the travel agency MyCruice for 3 days in a hotel and two nights without breakfast, for the cruise with a drink package and meals included, and for 4 days and three nights in a hotel after the cruise in Miami without breakfast, it came to 64189Kr for two people. That's expensive. Far (grandfather) and I talked about going on a cruise when I was in high school but neither of us could afford it, so we saved up since then, and now we finally got to go! So worth it!
Stay tuned for more.
