Disturbed Self-Perception? Not Exactly At Park Inn by Radisson Antwerp City Center - Belgium
We stayed at the Park Inn by Radisson Antwerp City Center for 3 days and 2 nights, at a price of 2790.89 Norwegian Kr (NOK) for two people without breakfast. The hotel had great facilities and a relaxing atmosphere. Our room was large and nice, with a comfortable bed, modern bathroom and shower. The location was also very convenient, with proximity to the metro, shops and restaurants, which made our stay very convenient.
Unfortunately, there were some negative experiences that overshadowed the otherwise pleasant stay. In the middle of the night, we were woken up by the phone in our room ringing. Julie answered the phone, and the person on the other end said that there was an emergency. Julie asked what she should do, and they said that everything was fine and that we could go back to sleep. Confused, she asked what we should do next, and then it turned out that it was the wrong number, and the call ended.
Shortly after, the phone rang again, this time to inform us that it was time to wake up, even though we had not ordered a wake-up call. This happened several times and we were told that it was the reception who had called the wrong room number. This was especially annoying since we had to get up early to catch a bus.
We sent a complaint to the reception and asked them to investigate the matter thoroughly to find out who had ordered the wake-up call and when. Instead of apologizing right away, the reception replied several days later that there were some other guests who had been messing with the phones and making noise. It felt like they were not taking responsibility for the situation and were just blaming others.
Overall, the room and facilities at the hotel were great and relaxing, but our experience was unfortunately marred by the nighttime disturbances. We hope that the hotel will take such complaints more seriously in the future and ensure that their guests get an undisturbed night's sleep.
