At this charming hotel, you will find a room with two large single beds, perfect for relaxing after a day filled with adventure. The room is also equipped with a TV for some relaxing entertainment. A small hallway leads to a convenient area for hanging clothes, and the bathroom is a study in simple elegance.

When it comes to the shower, this is where the hotel has some room for improvement. The shower is fixed to the ceiling, which can be quite inconvenient for those who prefer a handheld shower. It can be frustrating not being able to adjust the shower jet or rinse properly. This is perhaps the result of a design that does not fully consider usability. In addition, the internet connection, and TV connection were quite unstable, with frequent drops and interruptions – which can be annoying if you need reliable access to the net, and relaxation in front of the TV.

But what the hotel may lack in amenities, it makes up for in small details. The soap, with its lovely orange scent, is a refreshing surprise that stands out from the usual masculine scents of many hotels. Although breakfast is not included, the hotel offers a variety of options nearby to satisfy your culinary desires. Many different restaurants and cafes. There is also a pool at the hotel.

We stayed at the Catalina Hotel and Beach Club for a total of seven days and six nights – three days before our cruise and four days after. This gave us plenty of time to explore both the hotel and the lively city around it.

Overall, the Catalina Hotel and Beach Club is a good choice for those looking for a simple but comfortable experience in Miami Beach, despite a few minor annoyances.
