Axe Throwing in Antwerp: A Sweaty and Fun Experience

09/04/2026

Hello everyone!

Let me share an experience that was both nerve-wracking and hilarious – axe throwing in Antwerp, Belgium. Yes, you read that right. Axe throwing. We had decided to try something out of the ordinary on our trip, and it certainly did not disappoint.

We started the day a bit chaotic – Julie and I had managed to take the wrong metro and had to run to catch the axe throwing. I must have looked like a burst sack of potatoes running, panting and sweating, but luckily we managed to get there in the end. We were a little late, but we got to join the instructions with another group. Coughing and nauseous, I was ready to try something new, adrenaline pumping through my body.

When we first got our hands on the axes and headed to the throwing line, it was a mix of excitement and laughter. Julie quickly took the lead like a true axe master, while I… well, I wasn't exactly Robin Hood. I almost never hit my target and felt like a clumsy circus clown. But you know what? It was incredibly fun.

Every time Julie hit the target, we cheered like crazy and gave each other high-fives. When it was my turn, it was mostly laughter and disappointed looks. It was an experience filled with laughs, friendly teasing, and sweaty foreheads. Axe throwing turned out to be a great way to release some stress and have fun.

After a few intense rounds with the axes, we were tired but satisfied. It wasn't so important who was the best, but rather that we had fun together and created some amazing memories. Axe throwing in Antwerp was definitely one of the most fun activities we tried on our trip, despite my total lack of talent.

So, if you ever find yourself in Antwerp and want to try something a little different, I highly recommend axe throwing. It's an experience you won't soon forget - just be prepared to sweat a little and have a blast!

Hope this gave you a good laugh! Have any of you tried axe throwing before? Feel free to share your experiences with us!
