Stay tuned for an epic account of our return home!

We could have definitely done this return trip differently, but when flights from London to Gardermoen are on sale, you just have to take the chance! So we threw ourselves into an interrail adventure. First one train, then another. And the third train? Yes, we actually had to reserve seats there, so we did it – just in time!
At the security line we faced our first challenge. It felt like being back at Gardermoen with strict controls. Time was running out, so we explained that we were late, and asked if we could sneak through. Luckily, everyone was incredibly helpful! When we finally got down to the platform, we sprinted like athletes to catch the train, only to hear the conductor say that we actually had plenty of time. Thanks to all the super cool people!
The adventure started with a train from Antwerp to Brussels, then Paris and then London. (We took more trains than this but to summarize approx.) From there we took an Uber to the airport. The plane took us to Gardermoen, and there my mother was waiting for us. Yes, it was stressful, but also wonderful.
I grabbed a baguette on the way home, but unfortunately I ended up with a slight nausea and a stomach ache. The next day I was down with motion sickness or food poisoning. All of this happened just before Christmas Eve!
What a trip!
